Pro Trade Copy Cat Review | Another Scam?

This entry is reserved for our official review of the Pro Trade Copy Cat. This is a forex product being sold on most likely Clickbank or Plimus for a TBA price. They will most likely offer a refund policy of 60 days no questions asked money back guarantee.

Remember if you are going to try any forex robot and forex system that you fully understand how the system works before running it live. I always recommend to use your refund period to test it thoroughly for at least a month. If your results are above satisfaction, then and only then should you consider taking steps to trade it live with your hard earned money. Just because a website says their system will make $xx,xxx a month doesn’t mean it’s going to. So if you are not satisfied, do not hesitate to request your money back. I bought this service, tried it for 6 weeks and asked for my money back under their unconditional money-back guarantee. They played me along but never refunded. Before the third monthly fee became due I gave up and changed my credit card to avoid further monthly debits. Not to be recommended

Good start but the last couple of weeks have seen losses putting the live account into the red. Admittedly the markets have been difficult, but the trades look as though they are not being properly managed and some should not have been entered.

    UPDATE
The Deluxe has stopped working again (on Friday afternoon) with the same error message… it seemed it happened after I wrote my update last time here *spooky music* anyhows getting close to the end of my tether with this EA and possibly the system but will stick with it for a bit longer as I have 72 days of trial though they r quickly dissapearing. Back tested Deluxe again b4 error msg and manged p.f. over 3 over multiple years…. sigh would b nice.

    UPDATE
    Umm, hmm…. where to begin.
Not great results since going live 4 weeks ago (abouts).
The wireless is still in the black and was doing exceptionally well up until the end of last week. Friday it had its first loss of about 40 pips (41.8 to b exact). Not bad considering it was 350 pips in profit after 8 trades. This week has been disappointing though, 2 trades and both hit s/l of around 130 pips. It seemed the management of these trades went out the door once they were placed and left to run their course. This system is still 50 pips up but I am keeping a close eye on it.

Next is the manual trading system, the Executive. In paper trading this system worked very well but the moment I went to live trading it has gone no where. In this it is not terrible as it may be just a none profitable period for the system but I hope it becomes so soon. So far the Executive is as close to break even as you get.

    Now comes the headache…
The Swiper Deluxe EA (still on Demo) suddenly stopped trading with a error message saying “user blocked because of decompilation abuse” what eva the f… that means. I emailed support and they said they would get back to me. I emailed support they said they were sending it off for tests because it was unknown. I emailed support they replied their system was hacked and I would get my EA back soon. I emailed them…. u get the story. 3 weeks later they said they had fixed the problem and sent me my own user account number (the original) and said it was fixed. It wasn’t. I sent a strong letter back in response to that one and the next day they sent me a new account number and is now running fine. 3 weeks of lost time, so annoying they couldn’t have sent me a new number straight away. The back testing of the Deluxe is very special how ever. I wont go into it here but it has low draw down and has nice steady rising profit line over the period of the last 6 years (the extent of my downloaded history atm). With some settings a profit factor 3 and over can be acheived. It is still in testing and it only trades once every couple of days in back test so it will take a while to forward test (another annoyance with getting this EA working).

So the Question here is not is this a scam, this system has too much thought and results for a scam but rather will this last the test of time…. *so sits on fence (lights ciggy) n waits*

So far the results from this have been good for me too. I agree with the comments below that the trading (and lack of trading when the market is choppy – it doesn’t trade every day) seems to make sense. Although it is still early days with this, I have enough confidence, from what I have seen, to try it on a live account. I will report back on how that goes.

    UPDATE
I am voting for this system today. 7 stars. The trade copier is up, the manual trading system’s signals are very good and am up a long way with it. The EA is down but it lost a few trades during the crisis following the Japan earthquake and other news orientated market moves. Should have really turned it off like you should with other EA’s during such events. This week it is recovering and should be hopefully back into positive figures next week. From next week will be adding the trade copier and manual system to my live account . Will continue demo trading the EA but am confident in its strategy to date.

This is an odd one….the upsells are horrific, and the weird thing is that the licence they first give for the wireless copier – not really an EA in that sense – does not seem to have worked for anyone! Having said that, I contacted support, they sent me a new licence reasonably quickly, and I now have the wireless working on a vps demo. To my surprise……4 eurodollar trades in the last two trades, all running up to TP, very nice profits – demo, of course! I am going to have to try this for longer, will report back. BTW, I have no connection with the industry whatsoever, I am just a mug punter like anyone else here. I have been ripped off more often than Imelda Marcos bought shoes. I only care about one thing: does it make money?

Martin I don’t sell or want to sell anything I am just a person who has tested probably about 30-40+ EA’s and am always on the search for a new profitable system. I only have a couple of EA’s that are actually reliable and I am willing to take the time test a new one. I know how much I appreciate other peoples constructive comments on other EA’s I have been researching. You say you have tested this EA and it is a scam. What tests have you done? what were your results? I would be interested in these answers as would every one who reads this forum. To have someone jump up and down yelling scam but can not say why exactly isn’t being helpful to anyone. I haven’t made my mind up with with this EA yet but I am putting it through the tests and recording my results nothing more nothing less.

Jury’s still out for me. There have been four trades so far – two wins, two losers – the overall loss slightly outweighing the gain. However, the trades have made some sense and, given the choppiness of the market this week, I will persevere a for a few weeks longer. On the basis of experience with other forms of automated trading, my hopes are not huge but I’ll give it a fair trial

    UPDATE
Not a great day for the automated systems-
Wireless: 2 trades both losers with -54 pips. Total so far is -83 pips. It was strange there was a break out to down side on eurusd with all my indicators yelling sell and it placed a buy… almost like it hit the button hmm not gud. I still have hopes for this though because it has placed a couple of intelligent trades but has been unlucky.
Deluxe: made 1 trade with a -11 pip loss. Total so far is +9 pips. I was watching this trade today it is a very interesting EA. So far it has placed a buy/sell stop but it doesn’t stop monitoring. The stop moved about 4 times as the market moved and it was adjusting to the support/resistance levels. Additionally this EA has about 40 settings to play with including MA’s, Stochastics, trade timings, break even controls, trailing stops and more that I don’t understand, a lot of the features aren’t in play on out of the box settings. I am using the std settings but when I have some time I will play:)
Executive: 3 trades +62 pips. Total +178 pips. This is the manual system and I am having a lot of fun with this. It’s signals are so far turning out to be very reliable.
Well that’s it for this week back 2 work 2morrow will continue testing next week.

    UPDATE
    lol to to comment below
Wireless (trade copier) stopped out +5 pips last trade (c last entry) entered and closed another trade 47 pips profit.
Deluxe (EA) traded for 1st time 20 pips profit
Executive (manual trades) 3 wins, 1 loss and 1 break even, +46 pips for day, +116 pips in total (2 missed winning trades not counted). note the Executive only gives entry, sl and tp is up to the trader to make his/ her 🙂 own plan.
I can sorta understand why there are 97% losers within the forex market, every thread I have found about this EA people bag it. I guess they wont c the above 180 odd pips listed above… mind it has a way to go b4 getting the green light on my account.

    UPDATE
I have been patient to get this EA up and going but I now (finally) have all my key codes and am ready to start trading (weekend). The support for this EA does exist as I have had every question answered including an alternative way to download the EA because of my computers security issue (refer to previous comment) though it takes them about 3-4 days to get there …better than none at all like many EA’s.
My trade (wireless-trade copier) that was open lost but it is acceptable as the eurusd was expected to be bullish last week by many reports but was not so. Now it is time to test all with forward tests(72 days money back guarantee is good). I have been patient with this EA because I just think it maybe ok even though I too hated the sales pitch. BTW if you plan to just by the 1st version and no other I don’t think I’d bother it looks total crap and it’s just to get you in the door. Will try to update when I have some forward testing results.

I agree that the marketing is extremely offputting. The website (if you can access it) suggests that there will be only 1-2 trades a week so I am going to wait a little longer before forming a view. I have set up the wireless system which currently says “waiting for trade”.

Yes it is for sure a scam and a real one. If you did not buy it yet , stay away from it. I bough the basic version (only the signal). In 4 day I has only 1 signal. Opened 2 tickets 4 days ago and still no reply yet. Will ask for a refund. This David guy on the video with all his promises obviously is just another professional liar.

I purchased after receiving an email promising instant access to the members only site. Then made the purchase. The receipt from the purchase says give them 24 hours to reply with access codes (not what the sales pitch said). I waited 24 hours still without a word back from them. I waited 48 hours and still nothing. Very sales pitch throughout the buying process. So far I have nothing. I am surprised to hear that some of you actually has some limited access to the website. That surprises me as I have not received any word from the company after purchase. Think I will just ask for a refund. So much in promises and so little delivered. What else is new in the slimmy FX industry.

I had troubles with Nortons Security to down load this product but supprisingly (after much research) it is actually a flaw in Nortons. Finally managed to get it (bypass comp and onto a stick). It has been a real head ache to set up and to get going. One of the downloads wont work as it wont recognise the product key… that is pending. I also had problems with receiving another of the downloads but I got a response from support and received it… they are alive. I have the wireless running (upgrade) and it has entered a trade. It is currently up but whether it wins or loses it is actually an intelligent trade that I think will come out with a profit (100+ pips) the stop loss is good too. This EA could go either way complete scam or maybe actually very good (if you can get it going). SO I hope I made your choice to buy or not easy 🙂 ……Will try to get around to updating on this thread.

I bought copycat and wireless signal service. Been more than 24 hours and have not gotten license to install signal copier, despite numerous emails and contacting customer support. I viewed their signal updates in the members area and there were more losses than wins. Based on all signals updates posted in the members area the net loss was $611.00. Also the signals are not often and one wonders how he could make so much money in time specfied with infrequent signals. He is also less than honest about the number of EA he tried before “discovery “of flaw to allow him to start making money. Some of these EA’s in his list were also recently released.
In the upsell he stated you only had one chance to purchase the wireless yet in the members area he is still offering the wireless for sale.

Just bought it as well and also bought the upsell for the protrade copycat wireless. Apparently this wireless service when installed on your MT4 should enable you to copy their trades automatically but for some reason the license code I was issued for this purpose isnt working. I have sent up to four emails to the support but no one seems to be responding.

I was very put off by the upsells (see my earlier post), but I have to say that the wesite, aftersale instructions, training videos and contact information seem very good so far. There is also no promotion of any associated brokers which I think is a good sign. So I have some hopes. I will update again once I have actually done some trading.

A warning, guys: I just purchased the product to trial for 70 days. As soon as the payment went through the inevitable upsale window opened offering an upgrade which would increase my profits 10x. This window included a video of the seller telling me, with a look of pained regret on his face, that if I did not buy the upgrade that he and I might not be able to work together. I found this kind of salesmanship extraordinarily annoying. I did not buy the upgrade and I am stongly minded to seek my money back on the purchase without even bothering to try it.
